چکیده
Abstract Metal cutting is characterized by high temperatures at the tool-workpiece interface. Although valuable information could be provided temperature values, their direct measurement still presents a challenge due to contact pressure and inaccessibility of process kinematic. In this research work, current state thin-film sensors for measuring on chip-tool interface has been analyzed with focus phenomena: thermoelectricity thermoresistivity. Thin-film placed tools in or close tool-chip area are expected obtain accurate expense short lifetime. New insights into manufacturing, design calibration presented, new concept three-point thermoresistive sensor proposed. During orthogonal tests workpiece deformations were measured through high-speed imaging sensors. order validate distribution edge, Finite Element simulations carried out. Finally, potential using integrated in-situ characterization investigated statement its limitations applications given.

Integrated ultra-thin-film gas sensors
The fabrication and performance of an ultra-thin-film integrated gas sensor for detecting impurities in semiconductor process gases are described. Detector responses are based on gas-induced resistance changes in an ultra-thin Ti-P film mounted on a thin dielectric window supported by a silicon rim. The window temperature can be shifted several hundred degrees Celsius in less than one second. G...
متن کاملThickness Dependence of Sensitivity in Thin Film Tin Oxide Gas Sensors Deposited by Vapor Pyrolysis
Transparent SnO2 thin films were deposited on porcelain substrates using a chemical vapor deposition technique based on the hydrolysis of SnCl4 at elevated temperatures. A reduced pressure self-contained evaporation chamber was designed for the process where the pyrolysis of SnCl4 at the presence of water vapor was carried out. Resistive gas sensors were fabricated by providing ohmic contacts o...

متن کاملSolvent cast technology – a versatile tool for thin film production
From the end of the 19th century, the development of a process for manufacturing thin plastic films was tightly linked to the emerging industry for movies and photographic films. 5 mil (125 micron) film was produced using a discontinuous device with a caster moving over 200 feet long glass plates at Eastman KODAK [1]. Soon, first patents were issued to cast celluloid films on a moving surface b...
متن کاملA Comprehensive Study of a Micro-Channel Heat Sink Using Integrated Thin-Film Temperature Sensors
A micro-channel heat sink is a promising cooling method for high power integrated circuits (IC). However, the understanding of such a micro-channel device is not sufficient, because the tools for studying it are very limited. The details inside the micro-channels are not readily available. In this letter, a micro-channel heat sink is comprehensively studied using the integrated temperature sens...
